Online Social Work Supervision | Reflective Support

🌿 Online Social Work Supervision with LEXs

Individual and group Social Work supervision offers a confidential, values-anchored space to support your growth as a social worker - professionally, emotionally, and ethically. Whether you’re in a clinical, community, policy, education, or lived experience-integrated role, supervision is a place to slow down, reflect deeply, and realign with the purpose that brought you into this work.

At LEXs, Social Work supervision is relational, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and grounded in the belief that sustainable social work practice must be both reflective and restorative.

🛠️ How Online Social Work Supervision Works at LEXs

Working  with an accredited social worker and experienced supervisor means you have a dedicated space to explore challenges, deepen insight, and feel professionally supported – without judgment or hierarchy.

Step 1: Reach Out
Let’s connect. You’ll receive friendly, transparent information about how supervision works, what to expect, and how to know if it’s the right fit for your context.

Step 2: First Session
Our first session is about building rapport and understanding your unique needs. We’ll clarify your goals for supervision - whether it’s case consultation, ethical dilemmas, burnout prevention, leadership development, or something else entirely.

Step 3: Regular Reflective Sessions
Supervision is paced around your availability and needs. Sessions are dialogic and collaborative - exploring practice tensions, cultural and systemic complexities, clinical risks, and moments of pride alike.

Step 4:  Evolving with You
Just like your practice, supervision evolves. Whether you’re navigating role transition, preparing for accreditation, or processing workplace dynamics, we adjust focus areas to reflect your professional journey.

✅ Sessions are held online via secure, confidential video connection - accessible Australia-wide.

🌱 What Social Work Supervision Can Help With

Supervision is a protected space to:

  • Reflect on complex practice issues, including risk, trauma, and ethical boundaries

  • Navigate vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue, and systemic burnout

  • Integrate cultural humility and intersectionality into practice

  • Explore the intersection of personal and professional values

  • Maintain purpose and hope while working in high-stakes environments

  • Celebrate growth, name strengths, and map professional goals

  • Build confidence in leadership, advocacy, and boundary-setting

  • Prepare for accreditations, audits, or role transitions

❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Who is this supervision for?
Any qualified social worker (or allied professional) seeking a safe, structured space to reflect. Ideal for those in counselling, casework, leadership, NDIS, peer, clinical or advocacy roles - including sole traders, NGO staff, and those navigating intersectional identities or complex systems.

Can I claim CPD hours for this?
Yes. Supervision with an accredited supervisor can count toward your AASW Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours.

Is this only for those working in mental health?
Not at all. Supervision is tailored to your practice - whether you’re in family support, schools, disability, policy, or something else.

What if I’m newly graduated?
Welcome. Supervision can help you find your footing, reflect on your evolving professional identity, and build confidence without the pressure of ‘getting it right.’

Is this culturally safe for CaLD social workers?
Yes. Your culture, identity, language, and migration story are never “aside” - they’re part of who you are as a social worker. Supervision at LEXs honours this.
